Ermionis music society founded in 1998 under the musical directorship of Mr.

Jiannis Theodoropoulos.Since 1990 this position has been held by Mr. Takis Maniatis .The choir repertoire includes interpreting musical works from the pre

classical period , religious music ,Greek folk songs and modern Greek compositions.

Appearances have been made in international competitive festivals as well as

festivals all over Greece.The choir has broadcasted on the radio programme

'Era 3 -Greeks choirs" presented by Rania Bisbardy.

1998 saw the start of appearances outside Greece in the town of Kazanlak,Bulgaria

followed in 199 by visits to the towns of Pontida,Bergamo and Cisano in northern Italy.In the May of 2000 concerts were held in Dresdi,Germany and in Trebechoviche,Chech Rebublic.


	In December of the same year the choir competed in the festival "Days of Religious Music" which was held in the town of Brassoff,and in annual events organized by the Greek community there for the 25th of March celebrations.

In September 2002 the choir visited Cyprus and took part in the cultural events organized in the town of Lower Polymidion,Lemessos.

In September 2003 the choir was invited to Odessa,Ucraine by the university

"I.Metsinov" and the city's foundation of Greek culture, to appear in the annual events.


	In 1998 the choir was hounoured by the Greek choir foundation with the "Andreas Paridis" prize for its 10 years of ongoing acheivements.Undoubtabley the most momentous occasion in the choirs history was working alongside the unforgettable maestro Miltiadis Karidis.

Every year Ermioni Hosts numerous cultural events with the most popular being the Summer concerts. Choirs ,orchestras and soloists participate

in these concerts from both Greece and other countries.

Totally separate from their musical interests the society has contributed to the local community by setting up a voluntary blood doners service and blood bank.These efforts have been recognized by the Health Department and the Hellenic Radio.
